This was the first project jointly developed in all studio
classes.
Students were asked to design an apartment for themselves as KIDI students,
meeting their needs and covering all their daily functions, movements
and chores, namely studying, eating, cooking, resting and personal hygiene.
They were introduced to space as the main ingredient of Architecture and
encouraged to regard it as an extension of their bodies and minds, therefore
endowed with both physical and psychological characteristics.
They were given notions of ergonomics and anthropometry and asked to apply
those to their projects.
They should look at space from inside, downplaying the external aspect
of the resulting 3D object.
